You Are Here : Transport...Tees Valley City Region...Part 2

Of particular importance to the development of the sub-region are the five major development sites under development by Tees Valley Regeneration. These include Middlehaven; Darlington Central Park; Durham-Tees Valley Airport Business Park; Victoria Harbour; and North Shore. Further information about each of these developments can be found at: www.teesvalleyregeneration.co.uk

The CRDP is also fully consistent with the Regional Spatial Strategy (RSS) for the North East.  RSS is the long-term strategy for the spatial development of the region and will determine the extent and location of development up to 2021 and beyond.  Again transport is central to the successful implementation of this strategy, which also sets the context for the delivery of other key regional strategies such as the Regional Economic Strategy and Regional Housing Strategy.  The key role for transport is highlighted in the Regional Transport Strategy (RTS), which is an integral part of the RSS.
