Journey Information
Real-time departure information from stations throughout the Tees Valley and rail journey planning can be accessed through the national rail website at www.nationalrail.co.uk.

Tees Valley Station Facilities
Through a new Service Quality Monitoring partnership with Northern Rail, all Northern-owned stations within the Tees Valley are monitored on a monthly basis to ensure that any vandalism or wear & tear are found and repaired promptly. The JSU monitors all other stations 4 times a year and produces a Quarterly Report covering patronage and performance levels as well as station inventory information. This  report is circulated to a range of stakeholders including to the operators that maintain the stations, to inform them of what work is required. The latest report can be downloaded here soon.

The Tees Valley has been successful in obtaining ‘Access for All’ funding from the DfT towards lift access to platform 2 at Middlesbrough Station and improved access to Hartlepool station to supplement the interchange scheme currently under development there. Bid have recently been submitted for the next round of funding, including a new pedestrian footbridge at Thornaby Station and minor improvements to a number of stations along the Esk Valley Line.

Esk Valley Rail Development Company (EVRDC)
Along with other partners, the JSU continues to support the EVRDC in its work to deliver improvements along the Esk Valley (Middlesbrough to Whitby) line.  The line is one of 6 pilots that have been identified by the DfT to help inform and deliver its Community Rail Strategy.
