Tees Valley Cycle Strategy 2006-11
The new Tees Valley Cycle Strategy is about to be published by Sustrans – Tees Valley. It will present a clear framework for the development and promotion of cycling throughout the Tees Valley area both as a practical means of transport for shorter everyday journeys and as a key element of leisure and tourism activity. The document represents an update and revision of the original Tees Valley Cycling Strategy published in 1998 by the TVJSU on behalf of the five Tees Valley Borough Councils. The strategy focuses on five policy areas:
Provision of Cycling Facilities;
Taking account of cyclists needs ;
Promotion, Awareness and Safety;
The Borough Councils as Employers; and
Monitoring and Implementation.
